The Book of Thoth Saga follows Robert Knight — a cambion, the half-human offspring of a demonic entity — from childhood in the Peak District village of Hope's End through the fracturing of everything his guardians built to protect him. Alongside him are Daniel Marsden, his closest friend and the son of a former operative, and his uncles Ben and Toby Knight — two men who have spent decades building a wall of silence around him and calling it love.
Spanning seven years of Robert's life, the saga moves from the intimate and the domestic — a fight in a primary school playground, a birthday breakfast no one enjoys, a confrontation on a staircase — to the vast and the mythological, as the forces that have watched Robert since before his birth begin to make their final moves. At its heart, it is a story about what family costs, what truth does to the people who have been kept from it, and what happens when a boy raised to be hidden finally decides he wants to be known.
